Convex Shears. So named because of the
slight convex shape on the outside of each
blade. Correspondingly, the inside of each
blade has a concave shape. This design
creates an extremely sharp edge. This edge
will allow the user to do more than just snip.
We sharpen this type of scissor with a flat
hone method. This method uses a rotating flat
disc with a super fine abrasive. After a sharp
edge is created, we use a jewelers rouge to
polish the final result. Then the scissors are
assembled, inspecting and replacing wear
parts if necessary. The final step is to adust
the tension and set the tip closure.
